Introduction to Church of Christ Care Center |
Ask anyone who knows us what sets us apart from other senior communities and they’ll tell you – it’s how much we care. Our professional skills are exemplary, of course. We wouldn’t settle for anything less. But our genuine caring is the difference that makes all the difference in the world.
This culture of caring, deeply rooted in our faith in God, has played a big role in making us what we are today. It has enabled us to attract and keep dedicated employees seeking a career of meaningful service, in a field that typically has a high replacement rate. In turn, these staff members have profoundly touched residents and their families with their warmth, sensitivity and exceptional care every day.
For over 60 years we have been dedicated to providing the best possible quality of life to seniors. From our original home in Ferndale in the 1940s, to our 29-bed facility in Romeo in the 50s, to today, we have earned a reputation for outstanding care in a loving environment.
 Our present campus in Clinton Township has allowed us to realize our dream of providing seniors with a range of services to meet changing needs, all at one location. We have grown to include subsidized apartments for low-income residents, a private-pay assisted living center with 3 levels of support services, and a Medicare/Medicaid-certified nursing facility offering long and short term care.
The one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to truly care for each person. It’s right there in our name.

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE!
We are proud to offer TWO events this year to support the Church of Christ Care Center.
1) Saturday, August 23, 2008 - 21st Annual Steak and Corn Roast at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $85.00 each and include a delicious meal and lively entertainment. The event will be held under a big tent on the grounds of the Church of Christ Care Center. The theme is “Down on the Farm” so you are welcome to wear your overalls and straw hats!
2) Saturday, October 4, 2008 - 1st Annual Care Center Golf Classic at Oak Ridge Golf Club http://www.oakridgegolf.com. Registration and free Driving Range begin at 7:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Tickets are $100 each and include 18 holes with a cart, meals, prizes, and a lot of fun!

Federal Economic Stimulus & Tax Rebates
In June of this year, under a program signed into law by President Bush, the IRS will begin mailing rebate checks to taxpayers of record in an effort to stimulate the US Economy. Critics say that many consumers will spend those rebate checks on TVs and other imported goods – helping primarily foreign manufacturers and therefore not contributing directly to the creation of jobs in the U.S. How can you help? By contributing all or even a part of your rebate to Church of Christ Care Center. This helps in two ways – first by benefiting the elderly in need of continuing care; second – because, Church of Christ Care Center, as a service entity spends more than 60 % of its annual budget on Salaries and Employee Benefits which go directly to US Citizens living in the Michigan Community. Likewise our contracted services – for Building Repairs, Maintenance, Management of Food Services, Rehabilitation Services – are entirely paid to US - based companies, many of them small business in the surrounding community. As manufacturing has increasingly moved overseas the Service Industry has become an increasingly critical player in the US Economy – creating and maintaining jobs locally – which, in turn helps stabilize the local economy, housing markets, etc. Now, more than ever your contribution can not only help us care for the sick and elderly in our midst but also help the Nation, as a whole.
